Our client is an important luxury 5 star hotel on the Costa del Sol (Málaga). For its facilities, STANDBY Consultores is hiring a Head of Maintenance. You will be responsible for all areas of maintenance in the hotel and report directly to the Hotel Manager.
What you’ll do:
+ Support technically and administratively the company, aiming at the good and profitable operation of maintenance department; to be responsible for the proactive and preventative maintenance of the hotel property within budget requirements and capital expenditure.
+ To be responsible for the daily and efficient operation of maintenance department.
+ Effectively manage maintenance department employees in order that they may maximize their potential and effectiveness.
+ Ensure that all guest complaints have been solved in time by informing the relevant departments (e.g. Front Office, Housekeeping, etc.).
+ Being responsible for all departmental materials, supplies and orders.
+ Liaise with suppliers and contractors and negotiate prices for supplies and equipment.
+ Supervise external contractors.
+ Inspect the good condition, correct usage and maintenance of the departmental and safety equipment (fire alarm, fire extinguishers, etc.).
+ Keep a record for all damages and problems concerning the maintenance of AMMIS system.
+ To be responsible for fuel efficiency of the department.
+ Always be on call 24/7 for emergency cases.
+ To be in charge of the fire team.
+ Supervise the biological cleaning procedure.
+ Check the tertiary wastewater treatment procedure.
+ Maintain and update the file concerning environmental records.
+ Facilitate project maintenance with particular reference to refurbishments.
+ You will be responsible for: Electricians, Plumbers, Pool Attendants and Handymen.
What you need to bring:
+ Enthusiasm, openness and a self-motivated personality eager to learn, develop and be part of a continuously growing team.
+ Ability to cope under pressure and deliver excellent service results in a high-paced luxury environment.
+ 1- 2 years in similar position in a five-star hotel over 200 rooms.
+ Complaint handling, communication & negotiation skills, both oral and written.
+ Knowledge of Hospitality Software (Opera, Fidelio, Protel, Ermis, etc.).
+ Fluency in English (written-oral). A second and third language would be highly appreciated.
+ Flexible schedule required.
