For our client, who is the leading owner, developer and manager of designer outlets in Europe, we are looing for a Senior Retail Manager for it´s new center in Málaga.
Their ever-expanding portfolio comprises 24 centres close to major cities in nine countries across Europe and Canada and they are pioneers of designer outlet retailing in Europe, and continue to shape the concept of destination shopping for their local communities and our international visitors.
+ Recruit, lead, manage, motivate and develop direct reports to ensure that they exceed their potential and that their performance contributes to the achievement of our business objectives.
+ Manage all retail staff resources and budgets to ensure the smooth running of the operation and that staff remain productive and efficient.
+ Act as a person of influence on collaboration for the entire Centre team to drive the value of the Centre and ensure best practice is adopted to provide consistency in the region and the business.
+ Continue to look for new initiatives and changes to develop performance across the Centre to maximize Centre performance.
+ Introduce new tools to boost in store customer experience and maintain the Centre at forefront and ahead of competitors.
+ Ensure that the retail department forge close links with brand partners to ensure the sharing of information to improve sales and service to customers.
+ Responsible for the success of the Retail Academy Programme, championing the highest retail standards and customer service, to help tenants to meet their full potential and achieve improvements in sales.
+ Work with Centre and Head Office teams to identify and deliver tenant training (Retail Academy Programme) to improve performance and conduct induction meetings to ensure stores are aligned with the service standards of McArthurGlen.
+ Monitor and review Centre performance against the Annual Business Plan to ensure that KPIs are met/exceeded and the Centre continues to maximise its revenue potential
+ Boost and guide the Food strategy for the Centre.
+ In liaison with the Centre Manager formulate medium and long term plans for the Centre growth – brand mix, growth drivers (Brands KPIs, Rental Income and so on) and ensure, in cooperation with the leasing team, that the leasing strategy is ambitious, robust and consistent with the vision.
+ Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to deliver a State of art Trade Calendar, analyzing competitors’ activities in terms of Brands Partners actions, reinforcing the marketing strategy, introducing new activities, and so on.
+ Support and maximize the Tourism strategy maximizing Brand Partner activities designing ad hoc plan and anticipating new trend and opportunities (Brands Partners side).
+ Strict collaboration with Facility Manager to grant the maximum support to Brand Partners and making sure store refit and new opening are the highest level and are in line with most updated requirements (in terms of customer Journey, sustainability prerequisite as well as Health and Safety standards).
Key Accountabilities Extension
+ Ensure that the Retail team carries out regular and detailed audits on tenants to ensure they are complying with their lease agreements. Record and communicate findings and enforce company procedure should any compliance issue be breached.
+ Provide guidance on visual merchandising for stores, ensuring that consistency and effectiveness are maintained and that aesthetic standards are achieved in line with corporate identity.
+ Liaise with relevant retail bodies, such as Trading Standards, Chamber of Trade, and the local community, to ensure the company is conducting itself in a legal and responsible manner and the comany is positively promoted at all times.
+ Manage, through the activity of Retail managers, the development and update an annual re-fit plan in order to maintain high standard of stores.
+ Ensure that the Retail team complete comparative shop reports on competitors detailing activities, brand mix, promotional offers and price comparisons to aid the company in remaining competitive in the market.
+ Maintain close working relationships with the the company´s retail network to identify and drive best practice procedure and process to ensure consistency throughout the Centres.
+ Responsible for all extra income plan (Extra storages and Temporary unit) budget achievement.
+ Undertake duty management of the Centre on a rota basis.
+ Responsible for fully complying with the company’s policies and procedures.

Required Knowledge and Skills
+ Proven experience in strategic roles in retail or sales management, ideally at Sales Manager level – preferably multi-site; multi-brand
+ Fashion experience preferred
+ Analytical Skills
+ Fluent English
